Dr Okezie Ikpeazu  was accompanied by the Ebonyi State, Engr. Dave Umahi to  flagged off the reconstruction of  Port Harcourt Road Aba.

Speaking before he officiallly commissioned  the reconstruction of the road, governor Ikpeazu said;  “Port Harcourt Road is a federal government road; unfortunately there are no federal citizens. So, we decided to do something about it.

Port Harcourt road is strategic to the economy of the State, as it hosts machine tool fabricators, however, that road is not accessible at the moment. The truth is that Port Harcourt Road in Aba, is not just bad, but completely not motorable and the good news is that Governor Ikpeazu cannot continue to wait for the Federal Government.
The  contract was given to  Setraco Construction Company that is already working on Faulk Road to also  handle.
He urged Aba residents to be patient with the State Government, which according to him, has good plans for the commercial city.
